Maintenance and upkeep are of great significance for maintaining machining accuracy and prolonging the service life of machinery. They are factors that must be taken into consideration. Just like a car with excellent performance, it needs to be kept in perfect condition to maintain its unique performance. Besides conducting various checks and confirmations before each start-up, the most important thing is to perform regular maintenance and cleaning. A tidy, clean, and dust-free working environment is the primary task in maintenance and upkeep. Because all dirt and mess (such as dust, oil stains, and iron filings) will accelerate the deterioration of mechanical parts and electronic contacts, directly affecting the machining accuracy of mechanical parts and the service life of the machine.
Before implementing maintenance and servicing, a detailed plan is necessary. During the execution, various records should be made to extend the service life of the machinery. Some parts need to have spare parts available. (This means that for certain parts, they must be kept in reserve because their service life has been reached and they need to be replaced to maintain their original functions, so these parts should be kept as spares.)
Note:
1、For safety reasons, all the doors of the electrical boxes and the protective covers should not be opened unless it is for regular maintenance and servicing.
2、Do not use compressed air to clean mechanical equipment and other electronic control devices, because the compressed air and impurities from the surrounding environment (dust, oil stains, iron filings, etc.) can easily enter the bearings and ball screws, resulting in shortened service life of mechanical parts.
3、When maintenance personnel enter the moving range of the mechanical workbench, please turn off all operation panels and power switches on the electrical cabinets. Please prepare some unused paper or wooden boards to cover the areas prone to slipping to prevent maintenance personnel from slipping. (Because there might be unremoved oil stains, iron filings, etc. on the machine workbench.)
